EXCURSIONS

History, culture and sightseeing at its best

There is a lot to discover

From Sestri Levante to Santa Margherita Ligure, the coast is a succession of seaside resorts that can look back on over 200 years of tradition in tourism. Extensive beaches with well-equipped bathing establishments, large marinas with all services, state-of-the-art sports facilities and elegant, upscale accommodation structures: in Tigullien, all this is combined with the beauty of the coastal landscape, the lively little towns, the magic of the underwater world favored by the current. Sailing, surfing, horse riding, golf – sports enthusiasts will find ideal conditions here between nature and sports facilities. For shopping and sophisticated evenings, there is no shortage of trendy bars, boutiques and small stores selling exquisite arts and crafts. Santa Margherita Ligure is located between the towns of Portofino and Rapallo. This town in the Liguria region attracts tourists who prefer an elegant ambience on vacation. Travelers from all over the world love to stroll along the lively harbor promenade and enjoy Italian specialties in the restaurants and cafés.

Sestri Levante

The most beautiful fairytale bay in the world

The small coastal town of Sestri Levante enchants visitors with its special atmosphere. Colorful house facades, picturesque little alleyways, traditional stores and fishing boats bobbing leisurely in the water – you can still find all of this here, and it’s all part of the village’s unique charm. The beauty of the Bay of Silence (Baia del Silenzio) in Sestri Levante is indescribable; it is one of the most spectacular places on the Riviera.

Portofino

Sophisticated seaside resort with celebrity status

In Portofino, holidaymakers can unwind away from the hustle and bustle of large resorts. The bay of Portofino resembles a postcard motif, and the beautiful harbor is just as inviting for relaxing strolls as the narrow streets of the old town. The harbor and the many small bays in the village are particularly popular with guests. Between Mediterranean forests and olive groves, many celebrities have discovered the peace and seclusion of the fishing village of Portofino for themselves and have built their luxurious villas there.

Rapallo and Santa Margherita

Stroll through ancient alleyways

In the enchanting Rapallo and neighboring town of Santa Margherita, holidaymakers will find almost everything that makes a tourist’s heart beat faster. Winding alleyways to stroll through, bars and cafés to linger in and plenty of culinary delights. As you stroll along the promenade, you can admire the chic boats and yachts of the international jet set. The towns also offer an attractive range of leisure activities with many water sports facilities and an 18-hole golf course, excellent cuisine with fresh seafood and a past steeped in history that has left behind many sights. Boat trips are also possible.

Cinque Terre

5 places – Unesco World Heritage Site

Beauty as far as the eye can see: This is what the Cinque Terre offers nature lovers and hikers. The Cinque Terre is located south-east of Cavi di Lavagna in a national park and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Monterosso, Corniglia, Manarola, Vernazza and Riomaggiore: these are the names of the Cinque Terre, which delight visitors all year round with their pastel-colored houses, winding alleyways, picturesque squares and small harbors. The five small villages lie below a lush mountain range that drops steeply into the sea along the coast and are connected by beautiful hiking trails.
